MISSIONS/MINISTRIES
These are our major missions. Individual members are involved with various ministries and organizations which serve our local communities.
Backpack Buddy Program
This mission provides food for children during the summer when school is not in session. Each child receives food for two days during the eight-week program. Funding comes from donations, grants and our church fundraising dinner.
Back to School Bonanza

This is a mission of the Cleveland United Methodist Church. Children receive a backpack with school supplies, clothing, personal care items, haircut and lunch. This program is funded by donations from members of the local churches, community members and businesses.
Northshore Christmas Basket Program
​
This is a mission of the Cleveland United Methodist Church and the Parishes of St. Mary and St. Bernadette. Eligible families receive food vouchers, food, winter clothing, books and new gifts for children in their families. The program is funded by donations from the community, businesses and fundraising activities.
Veteran’s Mission
​
This mission provides personal care items for outpatients at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. Our Chatty Crafters group meets weekly and makes lap robes which are donated to the VA along with donations from our church members including books, magazines, car models, socks and personal care items donated and purchased with monetary donations..
Rescue Mission Holiday Cookies
​
This mission provides 250 dozen cookies for the Thanksgiving/Christmas Holiday Season for the clients at the Rescue Mission in Syracuse.
